Get the store URL
The live store, or a theme preview link from Online store › Themes › Actions › Preview › Share preview. Paste it into BugSmash.
Review the storefront itself, not a screenshot of it. Your client comments on the product page, the collection grid and the cart, and every comment arrives with the element, the browser and the device it came from.

The theme preview link is the right starting point and most stores already use it. Share preview, copy link, send. What it gives you is a viewer, not a review.
Your client looks at the preview and then writes to you somewhere else, which is where the context is lost.
A shared theme preview link runs for fourteen days. A review round that slips past that needs a new link and the old one goes dead on the client mid-review.
There is no list of what was raised, what was fixed and what was signed off on which version of the theme.
The launch email, the ad creative, the product photography and the packaging PDF are the rest of the launch and none of them are in Shopify.
How it works
The live store, or a theme preview link from Online store › Themes › Actions › Preview › Share preview. Paste it into BugSmash.
Your client opens it in their own browser and comments on the page. No Shopify staff account and no BugSmash account.
Every comment carries the page, the element, the browser and a screenshot, and can be pushed into Jira, ClickUp, Monday, Asana, Trello or Slack.
Comments attach to the thing on the page, so "this heading" is unambiguous without a marked-up JPEG in an email.
Desktop, tablet and mobile in the same link. Responsive is most of the job on a Webflow build, so a desktop-only review is half a review.
Blog posts, case studies, product templates. Each published Collection page is a URL, so each one is reviewable.
Every comment records what the reviewer was on. No follow-up thread to work out why you cannot reproduce it.
Republish, add a new version, and compare against what the client signed off on last round.
Who approved, on which version, on what date. That record stays with you, not with the Webflow site.
The review window loads the page in a real browser session, so anything you can sign in to yourself, you can sign in to here. Nothing is handed over to BugSmash and no credentials are stored.
| Your URL | Review by URL | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Live public storefront | Works | Paste and go. |
| Store behind the pre-launch password page | Works | Shopify's password page is a form, so you enter the store password inside the review window and carry on. |
| Theme preview link, or a URL with preview_theme_id | Works | Use it to review an unpublished theme. Regenerate the link if the review runs past fourteen days. |
| Checkout pages | Out of scope | Shopify does not serve checkout inside a theme preview, and checkout is locked down on most plans. Review the storefront, not the checkout. |
| Customer account area behind a social login | Not supported | Install the Feedback Widget. |
| Heavy animation, 3D product viewers, WebGL | Renders, fidelity varies | Install the Feedback Widget. |
One script before the closing head tag in theme.liquid. Add it to the theme you are reviewing rather than the live one, and remember that a theme update replaces the file, so re-add it after any theme upgrade.
From theme approval to collection launches, keep agencies, ecommerce teams and developers reviewing the same storefront.

Client sign-off on the theme before you publish it, recorded against the version they approved.

Merchandising, brand and the founder all review the same collection page before a drop goes live.

QA a storefront across browsers and devices with the browser context already on the ticket.

Context stays attached from comment to completion.
Send to your workflow
The destination changes. The context does not.
A Webflow launch is rarely only a Webflow launch. The same project holds the pitch deck, the brand PDF, the launch video, the ad creative, the email template and the mobile build, each reviewed the same way, each on the same approval record.
