Deploy the app
Build the project with the adapter selected for its hosting target and expose the resulting site or app at a browser-accessible URL.
Paste a browser-accessible deployment, send one review link, and collect contextual comments on the rendered SvelteKit experience.

SvelteKit controls rendering options, build output and application authentication. The selected adapter and hosting environment determine how the app is deployed.
Four documented boundaries matter before you share the app:
SvelteKit adapters take the built app and generate output for a target environment. Official adapters include Node, static, Cloudflare, Netlify and Vercel targets.
A SvelteKit app can mix SSR, CSR and prerendering across different pages, so reviewers should test the routes and interactions that matter to the release.
SvelteKit says vite preview runs the production build locally in Node and is not a perfect reproduction of the deployed app because adapter-specific adjustments do not apply.
SvelteKit documents checking authentication cookies in server hooks and storing user information in locals. A review link does not replace that application flow.
How it works
Build the project with the adapter selected for its hosting target and expose the resulting site or app at a browser-accessible URL.
Paste the accessible deployment into BugSmash and share the generated review link with the client, product or QA team.
Apply approved changes in the SvelteKit project, rebuild and redeploy through the normal hosting workflow, then review the updated routes again.
Attach feedback to the exact page location instead of translating it into a separate issue description.
Review server-rendered, client-rendered and prerendered routes as they behave in the deployed application.
Use the hosted files produced through adapter-static after the site has been deployed to a static web server.
Use the browser URL served by the standalone server generated through adapter-node.
Review desktop, tablet and mobile presentation while retaining the viewport with every comment.
Keep the page URL, browser, operating system, viewport and screenshot with each website comment.
Use the browser URL served by the deployed adapter output. Local development, local preview and authenticated application states have separate access requirements.
| Your URL | Review by URL | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Public SvelteKit deployment | Works | Paste the public website or application route into BugSmash. |
| Accessible staging deployment | Works | Use the staging URL after confirming every reviewer can reach it. |
| Hosted adapter-static output | Works | Review the URL where the prerendered pages and static assets are served. |
| Deployed adapter-node server | Works | Review the browser URL routed to the running standalone Node server. |
| Local vite preview or dev server | Not remotely accessible by default | Deploy it, use a static export where appropriate, or install the Feedback Widget. Pasting a URL does not make localhost public. |
| Authenticated SvelteKit route | Access-dependent | Authenticate in the authorized application session or use the Feedback Widget. A pasted URL does not bypass the app’s authentication. |
Add the BugSmash Feedback Widget to the rendered app when review must stay inside an authenticated, stateful or otherwise inaccessible session. SvelteKit and the application continue to control authentication.
Keep code, adapters and deployment with developers while clients, designers and QA review the browser experience produced by the build.

Collect route-specific feedback on deployed work while keeping source code and hosting configuration with the delivery team.
